So, when the opportunity came along, I was interested in this different kind of a subject matter, and I thought it would be cool to work with some super talented young actresses in sort of a female empowerment movie.
And the '60s is my favorite time period, so diving into that world was fun.
These days, although the screen has faded to black on the “Entourage” gang, Connolly has seemingly never been busier. Most recently, he's jumped behind the camera as the director of “Dear Eleanor,” a coming-of-age story about two teenage girls in the 1960s.While I didn’t love it, I didn’t particularly hate it, either. It’s okay, and hardly worth the effort it might take to make a fuss about it. However, the screening I attended was packed, so I expect it will put up big numbers this weekend (it’s tracking to earn - million in the opening weekend), enough to even get a sequel greenlit, which is to say that Entourage probably won’t be out of your life anytime soon.Given the length of the show’s run (2004-2011) and the interest in the film, I’m surprised that we all don’t know more about the core cast of Entourage, aside from the fact that Jeremy Piven once got out of a Broadway play because of “mercury poisoning” (and apparently had a nasty falling out with John Cusack), and that Kevin Dillon is Matt Dillon’s brother.
It was a very popular show, but I’m not so sure that the cast were ever very popular actors.
Luke Wilson is tremendous, and I really love Jessica.
I think she did a wonderful job, this was like nothing she's ever done…
The Entourage movie is out this week, and having seen it, I’m in total agreement with Mike Ryan’s review: It’s exactly what you think it will be.
That’s good or bad, depending on what you thought of the television show.
And even though the leads were two young girls, I still felt the nostalgia of bonding with your friends at that age and doing something a little crazy... Isabelle Fuhrman and Liana Liberate were already attached... I love producing, the only thing I haven't really cracked yet is the writing aspect… Luke Wilson was in season one of 'Entourage.' I've known Luke socially over the years and Jessica is a friend of mine...
